HISTORY:

[/size] Coral was born into a rich and happy home, and for the next eight years things stayed that way. From a young age, she showed a love for performing and her parents always encouraged her. Her mother loved classical music, therefore Coral loved classical music. It quickly became her dream to study classical music and become an opera star. When she was eight, however, tragedy struck. Her mother died [because of an illness], leaving behind Coral, her father and her then 1 year old sister. Her life only spiralled downwards from then on; when nine, her father borrowed millions of won to try and start a business; but within a year he had gone bust and had no means of paying back what he owed. Shark loans [with ridiculously large faces] kept coming round trying to get the money back and the family often found themselves in hiding, and soon had nowhere to live; having been evicted. Just before turning eleven, her father had managed to come across just enough money for the family to flee to England.

Life in England was nothing like the life she had previously known; they lived in a tiny flat and everything was far more expensive than they were used to. Up until their financial problems, Coral had always been pampered and spoilt, leaving her with quite a snobbish attitude. When she turned eleven, something unexpected happened. A man arrived, claiming she was a witch and that she had been invited to study at a place called Hogwarts school. Initially, she didn't want to go - she'd had her heart set on studying classical music at somewhere worthy and first-class[such as Julliard] and this third-class school would surely only hinder her chances. How would Julliard accept an applicant who studied at a school that most people didn't even know exist? Her father, however, jumped at the opportunity; believing that this school gave her a much better chance in life than that of a public school. Buying supplies was a struggle, but the family pushed through because her father was sure it would be worth it and, reluctantly she left her younger sister behind to study magic.

On the train to Hogwarts, Coral didn't want to be there and it showed. She'd foolishly dismissed the school and those who attended, before she'd even arrived. Needless to say, not many people liked Coral when she first started. She appeared empty of emotion and expression, snobbish and cold. She was very proud, and wouldn't let anyone know her family was broke; in fact, she lead them to believe she was very rich. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, but people would often say that they thought she belonged in Slytherin house, as she was rude and arragont. Still, Coral acted like it didn't effect her, though deep down it obviously did. Coral was many things, but she wouldn't purposely go out of her way to upset people; however it seemed they would her, and for a time she found herself bullied by some of the students. She wasn't one to be pushed around though, and had the confidence to stand up for herself.

Upon sharing a dorm room, and often finding herself paired with them in lessons, Coral gradually found herself becoming friends with Aubrey and Ingrid, despite them being the opposite of her, and all three joined the Glee club. At first, she didn't like the glee club as they didn't do much classical music; but rather 'third-class trot' as she liked to call it, where as she was 'first-class'. Yet it was the closest thing to performing she had, so she stuck with it and actually came to enjoy the club and the music they performed.

Now in her third year, Coral has changed a lot since first starting Hogwarts. While she still hasn't told anyone that her family isn't rich - with the exception of Aubrey, who found out when came to live with Coral at the end of her first year - she is slowly becoming more open, and learning to use more expression in order to show her passions. She's generally a lot nicer and much less selfish than she used to be. Though she is still pretty blunt, she isn't as rude and is finding it easier to let people in. She's actually found that she loves this school now, and learning magic. She's come to realise that her prejudice to Hogwarts, music and everything else that was making her 'third-class'.

• Aubrey

[/size] - Aurbey is her best friend; she's always been there for her and helped her to become a better person. Aubrey is an all round lovely person, and Coral feels lucky to call her a friend.

• Ingrid[/size] - Ingrid is another best friend, and even though she can be quite awkward; Coral loves her all the same.

• Performing[/size] - Whether it's singing or dancing, Coral loves to perform.

• Music[/size] - For a while, Coral was only really into classical music and was quick to dismiss pop or any other kind. However through singing and dancing she has grown to appreciate, and even love, pop and other genres.

• Being in the spotlight[/size] - While she isn't an attention whore, she loves being in the limelight and can get a little jealous if the spotlight is on anyone else. [/right]

• Feeling guilty

[/size] - Does anyone really like feeling guilty? Coral hates it, and when people help her out she can't help but feel like she owes them.

• People knowing her business[/size] - Coral is very closed, and she hates anyone knowing her business. Not only this, she is very proud therefore she doesn't like to admit to having any problems; especially her family's financial situation.

• Living away from her younger sister[/size] - Coral has always felt the need to look out for her younger sister, especially with no mother around and the fact that her dad had made such a mess of things. She worries about living away from her and is always writing home to check up on her.

• Lack of luxuries[/size] - Before their money problems, Coral's family was rich, therefore she was used to living [and acting] like a Queen. She dislikes not having all the things she used to, though she's slowly beginning to realise there are better things in life.

• Soppiness[/size] - Tough Coral isn't one for 'feelings' or 'mushiness'; she acts immune to them and has been heard to call it nauseating when listening to people speak about why they like their boyfriend/girlfriend. [/right]

• Confident

[/size] - Coral has never had any problems with confidence, so shyness has never been a thing to hold her back.

• Fiesty[/size] - Though this could be seen as a weakness, it is also a strength as it means she's never afraid to stick up for herself or those she cares for. She has a lot of spirit, and she's not afraid to show it.

• Hexes[/size] - Maybe it's because she's had a lot of practise throwing them at people who have wronged her or her friends in any way, but Coral performs hexes really quite well.

• Hides emotions

[/size] – Coral has a very tough exterior, and tends to hide her emotions. She struggles to talk about her feelings, and will often shut people out. Though she acts hard and tough, she's really quite soft in the inside and is slowly beginning to open up a little.

• Expressionless[/size] – For a while, Coral was very monotoned, and pretty much had the same expression for everything - probably due to the fact that she hides how she is feeling - and she would struggle to show her passions. She's not nearly as bad as she used to be, but she still has a little while to go.

• Blunt[/size] – Coral isn't afraid to tell you what she thinks, and she'll put it bluntly at that; leading people to think she's rude. Even if her opinions were wrong, if she thought it then she would say it. [/right]

PERSONALITY: [/size] When she first joined Hogwarts, Coral was emotionless, expressionless, cold, predjiduce, rude and a bit of a snob. She was always very tough on the outside, but what nobody knew was that she was actually quite soft on the inside - she just hid it well. Over the past three years however, this school and the friends she's made here have helped her to become less of these things. She's finally beginning to let her true colours show, and that she's not nearly as bad as she once let people believe.
