Maybe it was incredibly naive of Amber to simply believe that her sister and boyfriend fell asleep...but the truth never even crossed her mind. Corey loved her didn't he? And her sister would never do something like that to her, right? Not after everything she had done for both her and Jillian. No, the thought was not even a valid one so the only obvious answer was also the easiest. They had gotten talking. They had fallen asleep. Corey would never refuse the other side of the couch, especially to her little sister. Grinning at Misty she looked as if she were considering her option for a moment before shaking her head and diving back in to tickle her more. "I don't think so!" Laughing loudly she finally pulled back and grinned at Misty. "You know, there is that thing you have upstairs, called a bed? If I had known you were going to sleep down here I would have offered it to Corey." Her voice was teasing, no hint of anger at all.
Leaning over the side of the couch she kissed Corey's cheek and grinned at his sleepy expression. "Rise and shine, sleepy head." Amber was all smiles most mornings. Especially during the summer. She loved staying up late just as much as every other teenagers but her favorite time of the day had quickly become sunrise. At school it was often the only time she had alone to think and the same could be said during the summer. There was always someone around at her house that it became very difficult to have time to sit quietly and think about everything.
Sometimes Amber just needed a bit of time to think about what her mother had done to them. She had done everything she could to lessen the blows to both Misty and Jillian but that often meant she felt the loss of their mother the most keenly. It also didn't help that she could sometimes remember her. She had still been relatively young when their moth had left but she could remember moments with her mother, and it hurt to think about. Shoving Misty playfully she grinned at her sister "I have to go wake Jillian, dad already left for work, I have breakfast waiting in the kitchen. Oh! And our Hogwarts letters got here." Laughing she shrugged lightly "It's kind of funny, we got Corey's as well." Smiling at her boyfriend again she hurried up the stairs.
It took slightly longer to wake Jillian but after about ten minutes she walked back down the stairs with a grumpy Hufflepuff and headed into the kitchen. Thankfully she had thought to finish the food before waking the others as it would have all been destroyed by now if she hadn't. Pulling down plates, forks, and cups she made sure she had enough of each before looking at her siblings and boyfriend again. "Well? You going to stare at me all morning or are you going to eat?" Taking the heating charm off of the eggs and bacon she let the other three have at it before grabbing her own food and sitting at the table.
